Dear Colleagues,

it is a great pleasure to announce a lecture in our
CWI/Leiden RISC-seminar series by Professor Adi Shamir.

[As you know, Adi Shamir is the ``S'' from the RSA cryptosystem.
He is a winner of the 2002 ACM Turing Award, which is generally
viewed as a ``Nobel Prize in Computer Science.'']

Professor Shamir will lecture on ``breaking the SFLASH multi-variate
cryptosystem'' on *Monday October 29, 1500h--1630h.*
The talk duration is approx 75 min; there is no break in between.

The location is the Turing lecture hall at CWI in Amsterdam. This is
the Main Auditorium on the ground floor.

The talk will be accessible to non-specialists and it is suited for a
general mathematics/computer science audience. Drinks and snacks are
served after the lecture. All are welcome. Details below.

*NOTE*: There may very well be considerable interest,
i.e., a crowd of sorts. Arrive well ahead of time to be able
to sit in the front rows!
