Geachte geïnteresseerde,

Graag nodigen wij u uit voor de SuperTU/esday die de faculteit Wiskunde en
Informatica op donderdag 11 februari 2010 organiseert rond het thema
Digital Security. Wij denken dat deze dag voor u interessant is.
De doelgroep van deze dag is divers en bestaat uit MKB en grotere
bedrijven in de regio, (semi-)overheidsinstanties, alumni, maar ook
algemeen publiek en vwo-leerlingen. Het programma mikt op al deze groepen
door middel van parallelle voordrachten, plenaire voordrachten en een
forumdiscussie. Er zijn Engelstalige en Nederlandstalige sessies.

Te vaak meldt de media gevallen van Internetfraude en van schade bij
bedrijven, die ontstaat omdat hun digitale infrastructuur niet voldoende
is afgeschermd. Om die reden presenteren we aparte voordrachten voor het
MKB. De sprekers zijn mensen uit de praktijk die kunnen stoelen op
jarenlange ervaring. Zij zullen laten zien wat er zoal kan misgaan en hoe
dat voorkomen had kunnen worden.

Er is die dag ook een expositie van bedrijven die op het gebied van
digitale veiligheid diensten aanbieden en dus relevant voor u kunnen zijn.
Mocht uw bedrijf geïnteresseerd zijn om zich zelf te presenteren op deze

expositie zijn geen deelnamekosten verbonden.

Daarnaast zijn er twee exposities van historische crypto-apparatuur,
namelijk van de AIVD (Algemene Inlichtingen- en Veiligheidsdienst) en van
het museum Scryption<http://www.scryption.nl/>.
Tenslotte melden we dat als inleiding op een forumdiscussie door experts
over identiteitsdiefstal, de drievoudig Gouden Strop winnaar Charles den
Tex<http://www.charlesdentex.com/> duidelijk zal maken hoe het is om
slachtoffer te zijn van identiteitsdiefstal.

Dear  reader,

We invite you to the SuperTU/esday on Digital Security organized by the
department of Mathematics and Computer Science on Thursday February 11,
2010.
The program - which includes various parallel sessions, plenary lectures
and a forum discussion - aims at a broad audience including employees of
SMEs and of larger companies, people working in the (semi-) public sector,
alumni, but also citizens and high school students. There will be specific
sessions (in Dutch and in English) for specific target groups.
We see too many examples in the news of internet fraud and losses suffered
by companies caused by insufficiently protected digital infrastructure. To
address this issue, we offer presentations tailored to the smaller
companies (SME). The speakers are security professionals with years of
experience. They will show what can go wrong and could have been
prevented.

In addition, there will be an exhibition by companies offering digital
security services which could be relevant for you.

There also will be two expositions of historical crypto-devices, one of
the Dutch NSA (National Security Agency) and one of the museum

Finally, we mention that as introduction to the forum discussion on
Identity Theft, the three times laureate of the "Gouden Strop", Charles
den Tex<http://www.charlesdentex.com/>, will give an impression on how it
feels when one becomes a victim of identity theft.
