The RAID 2009 organizing committee is pleased to announce the
availability of grants to support student attendance at the
symposium. Each awarded student will have their symposium
registration fee waived or reduced.

Please note the following eligibility requirements:

1. The requester must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate
student at the time of the symposium.

2. The student will register to attend RAID 2009.

An application for a student attendance grant should include
items 1--4:

1. A description of areas covered by the RAID 2009 program that
would impact the student's research.

2. A statement indicating whether or not the student is a
co-author of a paper included in the symposium's program. If so,
give the full title and full author list of the paper.

3. A statement indicating whether or not the student is the
speaking presenter for a paper or poster appearing in the
program. Please note that a full registration is in any case
also required for each paper or poster presented. Therefore,
please give the name of the fully registered co-author.

4. A statement from the student's advisor confirming that the
requester is a full-time student in good academic standing and
expressing the financial need for an attendance grant.

Students should send their applications as one PDF file attachments
on an email to the RAID 2009 attendance grant coordinator, Ludovic Me
(ludovic.me at supelec.fr).

Selection criteria:

The awardees will be selected based on the organizing
committee's subjective evaluation of all received applications.
Preference may be given to students presenting papers at the
symposium and with financial need. We do not expect to be able
to fund all requests.

Notification to requesters: July 30, 2009.
