Call for Posters: 2nd SysSec Workshop
               *******************************************
                      24 July 2013, Bochum, Germany

The SysSec Network of Excellence organizes a workshop aimed to consolidate
the
Systems Security research community in Europe.

The workshop will be co-located with the UbiCrypt Summer School 2013 on
Reverse
Engineering, taking place from July 22nd to July 26th. The deadline to
register
for the Summer School is June 28, 2013. The school offers graduate students
and young researchers the opportunity to learn more about binary analysis and
malware reverse engineering. More information on the school can be found at
URL: http://www.ubicrypt.hgi.rub.de/veranstaltungen/summerschool2013/

The specific format of this workshop has been developed to:

1) showcase and spread the excellence in systems security research in Europe,
by presenting a selection of papers published by European researchers and
Europe-funded research projects in top conferences in the area

2) involve students and young researchers by allowing them to showcase their
own best results and expose them to top researchers in the field

3) create a generational exchange between experienced and starting
researchers,
focusing around a tutorial on how to get your research published in top
venues
(a session describing the "best previously rejected papers" of the last
years)

An updated version of the program is always available at:
http://www.syssec-project.eu/events/2nd-syssec-workshop-program/

As an integral part of the workshop, students planning to attend it are
invited
to submit a proposal for a poster presentation of their recent work.
Presentation of novel work, work-in-progress, or of preliminary results are
very welcome. In fact, the spirit of this session is to let students expose
their research to some of the most experienced European researchers in the
area
and receive early feedback and suggestions in a relaxed atmosphere.

If you wish present your work, please submit either a brief abstract or a
draft
of your poster. We will provide feedback within 1-2 days, and likely you
will
have the opportunity to present your work. The workshop will have no formal
proceedings, but we will post online an optional extended abstracts of 2
pages
for accepted posters.

Please send your submission to stefano.zanero at polimi.it for consideration, by
July 16th. We will notify accepted authors by July 17th.
