Subject: Call for Papers - The Workshop on Mathematical Methods for Cryptography

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate and to submit your
original research result to

*The Workshop on Mathematical Methods for Cryptography (MMC)*

*                                  September 4-8, 2017*

In honour of Prof. Tor Helleseth's 70th birthday

                  http://people.uib.no/chunlei.li/workshops/lofoten/

The workshop MMC is organised by Selmer Centre, University of Bergen, and
will take place

at Thon Hotel Lofoten
<https://www.thonhotels.no/hoteller/norge/svolvar/thon-hotel-lofoten/?gclid=Cj0KEQiAiMHEBRC034nx2ImB1J0BEiQA-r7ctl75yKA60HmacduyIjjf5EChmg-sSxd6t9KGcPooLu8aArcN8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds>,
Svolvaer, Norway

MMC aims to provide a forum and an opportunity for researchers

who are working in the fields of cryptography, coding theory, combinatorics,

sequences, finite fields, Boolean functions, etc, to exchange ideas and

research interests.

*Abstract Submission*

We request previously unpublished results on all aspects of mathematical

cryptography, particularly on mathematical techniques in the fields of

cryptography, coding theory, combinatorics, sequences and their

applications. Topics include but are not limited to:

    - foundational theory in cryptography

    - the design, proposal, and analysis of cryptographic primitives

    - coding theory

    - sequences and their applications to coding theory and cryptography

    - the theory and construction of Boolean functions and generalisations

    - correlation and spectral properties

    - the theory of finite fields and its application to cryptography

All participants who wish to contribute a 20 minute talk are invited to

submit an abstract that summarizes their work in PDF format before May 1st,

2017.

*Guide for Authors*

Please send your abstract to lilya.budaghyan at uib.no, chunlei.li at uib.no and
matthew at uib.no

At least one author of each accepted abstract should register before June

15th, 2017.

The authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper to

appear (after a new round of reviewing) in a special issue in the journal:
