Dear Colleague,

on *May 6-7* (Thu-Fri) we organize a special two-day session of the RISC
seminar, entitled

``Public Key Cryptography and the Geometry of Numbers''

The seminar focuses on the use of lattices in the construction of
public-key cryptographic protocols:

The first day will provide an introduction to the subject, and the second,
which is in collaboration with the Intercity Number Theory Seminar, will
cover recent research results.

The venue is the Tinbergen-room of the Trippenhuis, the headquarters of
the Royal Netherlands Academy of Science. It is located in center of
Amsterdam.

It is a pleasure to announce that

- - Eike Kiltz (CWI, Netherlands)

- - Erwin Dassen (Universiteit Leiden, Netherlands)

- - Hendrik Lenstra (Universiteit Leiden, Netherlands)

- - Chris Peikert (Georgia Institute of Technology, USA)

- - Oded Regev (Tel-Aviv University, Israel)
